Keidanren Roundtable

Michael Best Strategies partners Anne Canfield and Tom Schreibel presented to Keidanren USA, the Japanese Business Federation, which represents over 1,300 Japanese companies. The roundtable focused on the Trump administration’s trade and national security agendas. Over the past several months, the administration has implemented tariffs on aluminum and steel product imports and proposed tariffs on select imports from China.

The Michael Best Strategies’ team discussed the Trump administration’s trade policies and proposals, as well as the law and politics behind them, the processes for exemptions from tariffs for companies and countries, the implications for Japanese companies, and how Japanese companies can effectively engage with the U.S. government on these trade and security matters.

For more information about these trade and national security issues, please contact Anne Canfield.
