DENVER, CO – Michael Best Strategies continues to expand its Colorado team with the addition of healthcare policy expert, Jennifer Goodrum.
Goodrum has 20 years of healthcare policy experience, most recently at the Colorado Dental Association where she oversaw the policy team in strategic positioning and legislative perception through public affairs initiatives and grassroots education. Goodrum’s expertise also includes regulatory strategy for Colorado as well as the U.S. Congress across all 50 states.
“We are excited that Jennifer has chosen to bring her significant talents to our team,” said Rob Marchant, President at Michael Best Strategies. “Our clients will benefit greatly from her expertise and her drive to succeed.”
As Principal at Michael Best Strategies, Goodrum will leverage her experience and knowledge to effectively guide strategy for clients as they navigate healthcare policy laws and regulations.
“Jennifer’s expertise in healthcare policy, advocacy and other areas makes her a versatile asset essential to the success of the Strategies team,” said Jeff Thormodsgaard, Partner at Michael Best Strategies. “She has a proven track record of success, which also speaks volumes to her strategic ability. Jennifer is a trusted and formidable policy expert that will elevate strategies to a new level in Denver.”
“Michael Best Strategies has a team of highly-regarded professionals who I am honored to have the opportunity to work with,” said Goodrum. “I am thrilled to be able to contribute to their notable client service culture and bring expanded capacity in key areas. I am excited to see the tremendous impact this powerful team will have for our clients.”
Goodrum also worked as the Director of Regulatory Affairs at the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists where she helped cultivate an extensive grassroots network of two million engaged patients. Her proficiency in public affairs extended to fundraising, as she executed two capital campaigns totaling $4.5M to enable a sustained public affairs campaign.
Outside of the office, Goodrum’s passion for helping others is apparent; her role as the Government Affairs and Outreach Lead for Colorado Mission of Mercy Charitable Dental Clinic serves as just one example. Goodrum is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where she first nurtured her passions for healthcare policy, advocacy, and coalition building—obtaining degrees in Sociology and Political Science.
