Virtual Meeting

To say that 2020 has been a challenging year would be an understatement.  As the United States continues to grapple with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, challenges abound for those who are looking to keep the lines of communications open with their clients, customers, and employees.  We have come a long way since March, and while there may be no clear-cut end in sight, it is important to remember a few things when communicating with these distinct stakeholders:

  • These groups, especially employees, expect routine, updated communications.  Don’t send an e-mail just to send an e-mail.  Make sure your communications come with a purpose!
  • Employees trust their employers, now more so than ever.  This is the time to live out your mission and values.  If you don’t have either, now is the time to collaborate with your team and put pen to paper.
  • Keep those lines of communication varied.  It all doesn’t have to be done in an e-mail.  Would a video be a better way of getting your message across?  A virtual town hall?  You know your employees and customers better than anyone, so decide what works best for each group.

More than half a year into this pandemic, it might seem overwhelming.  If you are looking for assistance in your communications needs or want to bounce ideas off of and work with experts in the field, we at Michael Best Strategies are here to help!
