The exclusive listing singles out ‘people who stand out for delivering results for their clients in the halls of Congress and in the administration.’

Buckner, a legislative strategist with more than two-and-a-half decades of experience, joined the Strategies team as a partner in September of 2020. Her career has encompassed developing legislative and regulatory policy strategies on issues ranging from agriculture, food, and nutrition to energy and the environment sectors for Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining Strategies, she worked at Waste Management in Washington, D.C. and also served in corporate leadership roles in government and public affairs at Kraft Foods Group, The Coca-Cola Company, and DuPont.

An active member in her community, Buckner was selected to the US-Italy Council and is also a Board Member of the American Council of Young Political Leaders and Bowie State University, the Maryland Center. She is also an Advisory Board Member for the Girl Scouts, serves on the Advisory Council for 131 & Counting, and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. and The Links, Incorporated.

Buckner earned her B.S. in Political Science and Business Administration from Hampton University and a M.A. in Public Policy, magna cum laude, from Clark Atlanta University. Buckner resides in Washington, D.C.
