Senate Majority PAC released three new ads opposing U.S. Senator Ron Johnson (R-Oshkosh) this week. The first ad alleges Johnson’s business, as well as businesses that donated to Johnson’s campaign, benefitted from his pushing for “tax loopholes.” The ad also claims that Johnson voted to raise the retirement age and allow cuts to Social Security. No information was given on the amount of the buy or where the ad is airing.

The second ad, released in coordination with End Citizens United, is critical of Johnson for downplaying the January 6th events at the U.S. Capitol saying that he is “making excuses for rioters who tried to overthrow our government.” The joint spot is part of a seven-figure ad campaign which will run in Madison and Milwaukee.

The third ad from Senate Majority PAC highlights the differences between Barnes and Johnson, pointing to Johnson’s family business being linked to China while Barnes’ father worked third shift at a plant. The ad states that Johnson is “too extreme and out for himself.” The spot is part of a seven-figure buy that will run in the Green Bay, Milwaukee, and Madison markets.
