ABOUT ADAM

Adam has significant experience working with the Wisconsin state and U.S. federal government on policy advocacy efforts on behalf of clients. Adam assists clients from all industry sectors, with a focus on healthcare and education.

Adam’s Expertise: Government Relations, Policy Advocacy, Education, and Healthcare

Most recently, Adam was Executive Director at the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services, wherehe provided leadership and policy guidance to the state’s professional boards, coordinated statewide policy priorities, and oversaw the Wisconsin Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP), securing federal grants totaling $5 million.

In his previous role at the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce, Adam led political advocacy efforts at all levels of government, implementing the Chamber’s policy positions on behalf of its 1,200 member businesses while strengthening relationships with elected officials and partner organizations.

In addition to overseeing the Wisconsin PDMP, Adam also worked at Madison-based healthcare software company Epic, where he collaborated with developers and healthcare leaders to design applications that improved organizational efficiency and patient outcomes.

Adam spent much of his earlier career in Washington, D.C. As the D.C. Director of GreatSchools and then the Regional Director of Democracy Builders, Adam advised school leaders on community engagement, advocacy, government relations, and family engagement in pursuit of more high performing public schools.

During his time as a management consultant in Deloitte’s Federal Practice, Adam assisted federal agencies with complex projects ranging from the Pre-existing Condition Insurance Plan to the Transportation Security Administration’s execution of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Adam’s ability to see issues from both the business and regulatory perspectives enables him to provide clients with creative solutions.

Adam also volunteers his time to further educational causes. Notably, he founded and spent 10 years as President of the Grassroots Education Project, which empowers communities to serve schools and improve outcomes. Adam built this initiative in Washington, D.C. into a 2500-member organization for which he led fundraising, advocacy, and community relations efforts.
