Elizabeth Whitehurst

Elizabeth is a Legislative Assistant with Michael Best Strategies. She conducts research, assists with communications related to key legislative, political, and regulatory issues, and supports daily operations to serve Michael Best Strategies’ clients.

Elizabeth’s Expertise: Research, Communication, and Engagement

Prior to joining Strategies, Elizabeth worked at Reynolds American Inc. as a Global Graduate Management Trainee, Legal and External Affairs. Within this role, she researched and established policy stances in all 50 states through quantitative analysis of political and economic trends and presented policy materials that outlined the company’s regulatory outlooks.

Elizabeth gained experience as an intern at Holloway Consulting Inc. where she supported fundraising efforts by analyzing political campaign donations, training team members for fundraising calls, and managing logistics and event attendance for meetings.

As a research intern at Vote-USA, Elizabeth led research on political candidates in various local, state, and federal elections throughout the country and interviewed candidates for Vote-USA’s podcast.
