Katie is the Deputy Practice Administration Lead for Michael Best Strategies’ Washington, D.C. operations. She oversees day-to-day operational, administrative, budgeting, and communications functions to support Strategies’ fast-growing D.C. headquarters.

In her multifaceted role, Katie supervises administrative and support staff to ensure team efficiency and balanced workloads, manages expenses and accounting processes, and oversees new client onboarding processes. Katie also spearheads process and infrastructure improvements and other special projects to support continued organizational growth. Additionally, Katie leads D.C-based event planning and execution.

Katie’s Expertise: Project Management, Operations, Communications, and Event Management

Katie previously served as Director of Operations at Michael Best & Friedrich, where she managed the activities, scheduling, and administrative efforts for Reince Priebus, President and Chief Strategist of Michael Best & Friedrich and Chairman of the Board of Advisors of Michael Best Strategies. Katie also oversaw communications, special projects, and events.

Earlier, Katie worked at the White House as the Deputy Director for the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships, which was founded in 1964 by then-President Lyndon B. Johnson.

She also served as Deputy Director of Member Services at the Republican National Committee, where she acted as liaison between the RNC and the 168 committee members who function as the board of directors for the Republican Party.

Katie spent several years with the RNC and played an integral role in planning national events and meetings. As part of the Member Services Team, Katie assisted with the 2016 Republican National Convention City Site Selection Process, Presidential Primary Debates, and the Republican National Convention in Cleveland. In addition to her role as Member Services Deputy Director, Katie held several positions at the RNC including Director of Special Projects.
