ABOUT BRETT
Brett Ewer is a seasoned government relations professional with a decade of experience in government relations, business strategy, public affairs, crisis communications, reputation management, and strategic communications.

Prior to joining Strategies, Brett served as the Head of Government Relations at CrossFit, the world’s largest gym chain, where he led a global team influencing policies at the local, state, federal, and international levels. Brett also served as the company’s spokesman for public affairs and counseled the company on emerging government and PR issues. In 2020, he founded and led the Community Gyms Coalition, representing 20,000 gyms, to advocate for federal aid during the COVID pandemic and policies to promote health and fitness.
ADDITIONAL KEY EXPERIENCE
Brett’s earlier experience includes serving as the Director of Public Relations at The Podesta Group where he formulated and executed communication campaigns for advocacy coalitions, nationally recognized nonprofits, and Fortune 50 companies. He also provided counsel and media training to clients and stakeholders for media appearances and Congressional engagement.
Prior to his work at The Podesta Group, Brett worked in a number of Democratic offices on Capitol Hill, including the Office of U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), the Office of U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Massachusetts), the Office of U.S. Senator Angus King (I-Maine), and the Office of U.S. Representative William Keating (D-Massachusetts), where he gained skills in policy analysis, media relations, stakeholder management and constituent engagement.
